Lucas Taylor

Lucas played four years of collegiate baseball at Potomac State College, Davis and Elkins College and finished at Shepherd University.  After college Lucas played 7 years of professional baseball for several different independent league teams: Atlantic City Surf (Atlantic/CanAm League), River City Rascals (Frontier League), Worcester Tornadoes (Can-Am League).  During this time Taylor learned hitting/offensive philosophies from several former Major League players such as: Rich Gedman, Greg “the Bull” Luzinski, and John Kruk.  Before moving to Clayton, Lucas spent two years as an assistant baseball coach at Wheeling Jesuit University.

As an instructor, Lucas’s philosophy is to develop the unique talents of each individual player by making needed adjustments to the mechanics of their swing and teaching an offensive approach that best fits each player.  Lucas uses various drills and swing/video analysis in an energetic positive atmosphere to get the desired results. Using these methods his overall goal is to help each player reach their highest potential.
